Citizenship Rules for Investor Residency Visa

Consider citizenship rules when investing for a residency visa.

Anyone considering a property investment in Europe to obtain a golden residency visa needs to carefully consider the citizenship rules. Spain and Portugal are the two big economies offering residency visas for property investment over €500,000. However the citizenship rules for both countries differ. Spain requires ten years residency. Portugal requires six years residency but there is no necessity to live in the country during those six years. You can read more on our Portugal visa website. It is important to gain specialist legal advice before committing to a property purchase and our lawyers in both countries can help with this although our initial advice at La Vida is free to anyone purchasing real estate through our company. Our free guide explains the rules. And of course we are not just another website. We are a real company with offices and ten years experience of international property so please feel free to contact us by mail or call +44 208 429 7115 for advice.

Value of my house: Rs.200K Value Today.
    Invested Properties Rs.250K. Value Today
    Cash Rs. 30K
Vehicle Rs. 16K This amount is not included in above amount.
from the invested properties at the moment i can sell 2 properties worth Euro 133930/-can i process the application if yes then i can sell the rest proprty in 3years time as i am expecting property value will increase and the total euro would be more than the above.

if you accept my above request then i can sell the 2 properties in 2 month time and start processing application with your assistance & guide lines.

    • You will need a minimum cash balance of around €320,000 to get any visa investment programme in Europe. That would cover Greece at €250k plus costs. Then you are looking at Hungary at €360k including costs moving on to Portugal and Spain where golden visas are a minimum €500,000 + costs. In all cases you need the investment completed on application. For Spain which you are interested in it would cost around €570,000, that is an investment of €500,000, property taxes around €60,000 and €10,000 upwards to cover fees depending on the family situation.
